It is my goal to use this board to post what are basically Training threads about Open Collar Six. If you have a question pertaining to the material covered in a particular thread post it as areply and I will get to it as soon as possible. I hope to post new materials every day or so.
Here are a few things about Open Collar Six that might help everyone get up to speed with it a bit quicker.
First of all there has been a change in the way collar communication takes place through local chat commands. We are all familiar with the use of the prefix to issue commands. In previous editions your prefix was the combination of your first name initial and last name initial. For example, bottomgirlbeth Resident had a prefix of br so brmenu called the menu or brrlvoff turned off rlv.
The new default prefix is simply the firet two letters of the legacy name, or in the same instance as previously described, bo. In other words, bomenu or borlvoff. However the difference doesn't end there. If you don't like your prefix, nowyou can change it! For example if Maitress Elizabeth or bottomgirlbeth.resident doesn't like bo as her prefix she can issue the command bo prefix me and the device will then recognize any command preceded by me as being intended for Maitresse's device.
One thing this does is eliminates the ability of a total stranger accessing your device through chat. If you change your prefix to something that is not obvious they must either ask you what it is or resort to physically touching your collar.
Don't forget you have a safe word, and if you haven't changed your safeword it is 'RED'. The default safe word is in all caps and using it in chat will immediately end all animations, turn off RLV, unleash you and send a message to your owner(s) that you have used the safe word and check on your well being. The safe word will be recognized when entered as RED, /1 RED or ((RED)) so even if there are chat restrictions currently imposed you have a means of escape. If your situation isn't dire and immediate help is not required, you can still simply turn RLV off with “xxrlvoff” or through the menu select release all on the rlv restrictions page and then teleport out to safety.
Remember, chat isn't the only way you can communicate with that cue subs Open Collar device. In addition to xxmenu you can simply touch the neck. If you use the Open Collar AO you can touch the quick menu button or if you are an owner use the open collar remote.
Locking and unlocking your or your subs collar. This command requires an RLV compatible viewer and will prevent the collar from being detached. If the viewers RLV ability is disabled and the collar removed, the collar will inform owners that it was detached while locked. Keep in mind that RLV is a feature that has to be active in both viewer and collar to function correctly.
The collar is locked or unlocked using the xxlock or the xxunlock chat command.
